Everybody's Store is the closest thing to a New York Deli that can be found
in the Northwest. Their sandwiches are to die for. The store leads off with
a classic selection of 50 or so cheeses and about a dozen varieties of sausage.
Try the potato goat cheese, it's nothing like anything you have ever tasted.
If you enjoy cooking from scratch no place beats Everybody's Store. The
fresh ground flours stand next to the culinary and medicinal herb shelf.
There must be 7 or 8 varieties of rice. And if you want you can also pick
up some jewelry perhaps some Nepales shirts or Peruvian Alpaca capes. Just
don't forget to try their sandwiches and if you bring your own cup it's just
two bits ( 25 cents) for their bold but unpretentious coffee. Check out
the Everybody's website www.everybodys.com and scope out the 9 pages of pictures
and text from the Seattle Times. This is a landmark place that has been
growing and selling local organic food for two generations.
When you're in Van Zandt check out their neighborhood park,--don't forget
to bring your handball gloves and if you're there mid afternoon tune in the
local radio station KAVZ 102.5 FM. This is one helluva small town and Everybody's
Store is the ultimate diamond in the rough!
